Iodine is the most essential nutrient for the function of your thyroid.

Thyroid problems in America are rampant and affecting people at an alarming rate. In most cases, Hypothyroidism (low function) is the culprit. Of course, as with all medical problems, it returns to our horrendous diet of overly processed and refined man-made so-called food, which is white sugar, salt, flour, rice, and hydrogenated oils. The most important nutrients for a healthy thyroid are #1 Iodine, then Thyrosine (an amino acid from protein-rich food), essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and last but not least complete protein. Even if you are taking a synthetic or natural (Armour or Westhroid), your thyroid will not be totally healthy when you lack Iodine and Tyrosine. This is a fact!

In the late 1800′s in America, we were basically 95% farmers and our intake of natural iodine was extremely high – 50mg. to 80mg. to a low of around 15mg. to 18mg.! Thyroid problems were nil 100 years ago and iodine was looked at with high regard to treating pneumonia, bronchitis, infections, and brain damage. As time progressed and our soil was not naturally farmed but replaced with the synthetic fertilizer, N.P.K. (potassium nitrate) and iodine slowly disappeared. Goiters (enlarged thyroids) appeared in our necks to indicate an unhealthy thyroid condition. Also, selenium worked together with iodine to fight many diseases – it also is grossly deficient in our soil!

The U.S. government now states the M.D.R. (minimum daily requirement) for iodine 150 mcg. – dangerously low! Keep in mind that in Japan men and women have very little thyroid problems and women have very little breast cancer, fibroid cysts, and ovarian cancer. Their soil and diets are extremely nutritious and include a minimum of 18mg to a high of 80mg of iodine.

The scary fact is that Drug Co and M.D.’s suppress this fact so the public is unaware!

Some symptoms of low thyroid function:

  • fatigue
  • aching muscles
  • cold hands and feet
  • weight gain
  • dry and thinning hair
  • dry skin
  • heavy menstrual periods
  • forgetfulness
  • diminished libido
  • always tired
  • slow heart rate
  • mental fatigue!

NOTE: In vare rare cases, some people can be sensitive and allergic to iodine – if so discontinue use and consult a health care professional.
