I’ve only recently learned about who Vince Gironda was, which led me to his book The Wild Physique. It cannot be found in publication, without paying a high premium. The chapters, explanations and illustrations are extremely helpful in doing the exercises correctly. What I read today are exercises that do not reflect the proper form and explanation to support the movements. Thanks NSP for keeping this information accessible. I look forward to collecting more of Mr. Gironda’s publications you have available.

The Bodybuilding Bible
Vince Gironda is simply magnificent. Known for his legendary gruff demeanor, Gironda represented all that is true in bodybuilding. Much of his knowledge and experience is shared in this book.
Glitzy magazines will sell you on an ever-changing, monthly plethora of pills, potions, and lotions; all "guaranteed" to work. They jump at every new pseudo-science product, hyping as the next best thing while failing to acknowledge that their spokesmodel is juiced to the gills. Miracle diets. Blasting your biceps. One month 100 rep training is in vogue, the next Heavy Duty (i.e.: Heavy 'Doody') Mike Mentzer low-rep training. What is a poor soul to do?
Follow Gironda. He was Paleo or Keto before Crossfit was ever a thought. Liver tablets and Amino Acids work. His training methods are legendary, and are continually being demonstrated in the scientific community. He simply was light years ahead (and in some ways, still is) of anybody else.
The truth is, bodybuilding became corrupted or perverted with controlled substances. Performance-enhancing drugs flooded bodybuilding and turned it into pharmaceutical roulette than living and breathing art. Magazine and supplement companies push their wares without acknowledging the elephant in the room: take the drugs away, and the "champ" shrivels to nothing. Gironda is tried and true. Leave the glitz and glamour to the frauds; to the pin cushions. Do it natural. Do it Vince's way.
